Join us for a weekend of creativity. ATASDA QLD will be part of Brisbane Visual Arts Community’s Open Weekend.

Book into a workshop, watch demonstrations, meet ATASDA members and find out about our wonderful textile arts community.

 

 ATASDA workshops being offered:

Slow Stitch Rabbit or Bird
with Susan Hoy
Learn the basics of developing a piece of slow stitched textile art incorporating simple basic embroidery stitches coupled with design stamping and using watercolour pencils. Suitable for all skill levels.
Workshop fee including kit $50

 Developing Engaging Backgrounds in Acrylic Paint
with Julie-Ann Barker  
Explore creative marks with tools and techniques to develop intriguing marks, colours, patterns and textures with acrylic paint. Connect with nature and your creativity using local foliage and plant images to base your artwork on. Build up the surface narrative playing with layering and surface marks , patterns and textures to develop depth and interest. Paint, draw or use a template depending on your skill set to place your plant image onto your exciting background.
