2024 is our BIG Year of celebration to commemorate 50 years of ATASDA

 

The Collaborative Golden Cape

One garment representing 50 years of creativity in textile arts.
Members of ATASDA have joined together to create a beautiful cape comprising of 50 art panels inspired by 50 past ATASDA artworks. Each contribution to the Cape is a personal response to its corresponding historic artwork and its story. The Golden Cape, embellished with these beautiful cameos of textile art and surface design, will travel and be displayed throughout Australia.

Tour Schedule:
26th June - 30th June     Brush Farm House, Eastwood, with A Touch of Gold Exhibition
3rd July - 6th July           Craft & Quilt Fair, ICC Darling Harbour
7th July - 14th July         Brush Farm House, Eastwood, with A Touch of Gold Exhibition

Exhibition - A Touch of Gold - 50 years of ATASDA

Over 60 ATASDA members have responded to the opportunity to exhibit at our Touch of Gold 50th exhibition.
Artworks will reflect the theme of a Touch of Gold and will be exhibited in two locations during 2024:

In Sydney - NEW DATES AND NEW VENUE

Brush Farm House, 19 Lawson Street, Eastwood
Entrance driveway is shared with Brush Farm Corrective Services Academy

26 June to 14 July, Wednesdays to Sundays, 10am - 4pm

Official Opening Event with guest speaker Barbara Schey - Saturday 29 June, 2.30 - 4.30pm

Once again, our members have harnessed their creativity and diversity to present a wonderful range of artworks in diverse textile media, techniques, concepts and styles for this commemorative exhibition.

Artist Talks at Brush Farm House, Eastwood (Sydney)

Hear from an artist member of ATASDA. Each talk will focus on several works, elucidating the artist’s design concepts, materials and techniques. Talks will be about 20 minutes, in which time you will have a chance to ask questions.
