Textile Taster: Indigo dyeing (Part 1) with Judy Worsley
Participants will need to bring
. Half a meter of cotton
. Top stitching thread if they have it .. if not a thicker sewing thread and some needles which can be used with the thread they have brought.
. A couple of stencils they like .... simple rather than complex.
. An HB pencil or a washout pen to draw their design onto the cotton.
Time: 1.5 to 2 Hours.
Judy will demo some techniques and then dye some of these examples. The rest of the time can be spent sewing their designs onto their fabric.
