ATASDA Village Members Challenge

Hi to All Members of NSW ATASDA,

The year is progressing so quickly, and we find ourselves at the stage of presenting to you, a small creative challenge that will be displayed in the cabinets at Epping throughout December and January.
There are many members who indicated to us at the 50th Celebration, their appreciation in receiving these little challenges – an opportunity to be creative, a change from their own artwork and being included in a statewide event with ATASDA.

We hope all members participate – especially those in country areas. Perhaps you can do something with a perspective on where you live?

So, what is this challenge?  We thought, with your help, we will build an “ATASDA Village” – little houses created by you; made from light cardboard, fabric, knitted, collaged, stitched etc. and decorated in your own chosen style.

You will be provided with 4 templates to get your thoughts and ideas going, but of course you are not obligated to use any of these. Some have windows etc. and others are plain, leaving the creativity up to you!

ATASDA VILLAGE CHALLENGE

• Make a little house of your own choosing.
• Decorate in your style
• Use any materials of your choice, e.g. paper, card, felt, etc.  Use your imagination!
• The maximum dimensions are to be 5” (13cm) in any direction, i.e. 5” x 5” x 5”
• Finished items are to be received by the NSW December quarterly meeting on 6.12.2025)
• The Little Houses will be displayed in the cabinets at Epping during December and January.
• Examples and links to pattern ideas will be available on the ATASDA website, but feel free to design your own.
• You may deliver your house in person at any Social day or post it to ATASDA NSW, P O BOX 426, BEECROFT, NSW, 2119.
• Your creations will be available for return in February. If you cannot collect it yourself, please include postage equivalent to the cost of return to you.
